Don Paco Mexican Restaurant in Buckhannon

Chicken used in the burrito was definitely canned. Steak fajitas were over seasoned with taco seasoning packet. Staff was unenthusiastic and dishes were blah.

I didn't like the enchilada sauce or the chile they used in the burritos. I'm used to homemade Mexican food and this didn't compare to it. The salsa was good and the cheese dip.

I have never had a bad meal here!! Mr. Figueroa is the most generous host and I love coming here when I'm in town!! The carnitas are great, salsa is excellent, margaritas are nice too!

Paco gave us a great first impression by having a good greeting, positive energy, and likable charisma. The waitress was nice, and attentive. The food was tasty and plentiful. The overall restaurant experience was really good.

I don’t know where the recent bad reviews are coming from. Of the two Mexican restaurants in Buckhannon you can get flavor and friendly staff, or food covered in cheese and forgotten about. Don Paco is by far more superior.

Great food and a great atmosphere

I'm on a special diet for two months which includes NO CHEESE (or animal products at all)AND NO SUGAR. This lunch veggie fajita makes it all forgotten, absolutely delicioso....

Food was good. We were in a very large group and they managed to never let my cup become empty...bravo.

Best Mexican food in town

Don Paco is the best Mexican restaurant I have ever eaten at. The wait staff is the friendliest you will find for miles. They always go above and beyond as far as service. If you come in on a busy Friday night be prepared to wait but I promise it will be worth it. This a definite must try when you are in the area.

A clean, bright alternative to the similar restaurants in the region. The portions are perfect size and everything tastes fantastic.

I ordered the 3 enchiladas and they were amazing!! I absolutely loved dining here. The service was excellent, staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming and felt authentic. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Definitely the best Mexican food that Buckhannon has to offer. The food is great, and the chips and salsa are always just right. On top of that, the staff here is amazing, they are friendly, courteous, and efficient. This is one of the few decent places that Buckhannon has to eat. If you are new to the area and trying to pick a place in our small town, I would say start here.

Awesome food awesome service

Mr. Figueroa's Don Paco Mexican Restaurant is a must-eat location in Buckhannon. My husband and I stopped for a couple of margaritas and received so much more including free yummy chips and salsa, bright decor, friendly service and stories of Puerto Rico 🇵🇷. The tables are properly distanced and all of the staff are wearing masks so we felt really safe inside. We highly recommend Don Paco!

Fantastic foods, great seasoning and hearty portions of quality meats! Their game appears to be average for the 'complimentary chips and salsa' salsa. Servers are polite and swift! Prices are great, and menu options are copious! Best Mex in Upshur County.

Great food great place

We've never had a bad meal here. The interior is pretty basic and the food is always delicious. Orders reach the table relatively quickly and the menu has many Mexican choices. I would have rated it higher, but there is one waitress who takes our order occasionally that is a bit surly, or a bit too business like. The owner is always friendly and welcoming though.

Tonight was our first night here... we ordered wings and nachos as our appetizers and after 25 minutes of waiting we got the wings out first. They were not honestly to bad but a little salty. After another 20 minutes the nachos came out and they were good awful. Liquid running everywhere tasted like canned meat. I sent it back and canceled the rest of the meal. That was by far the worst restaurant I have been to in this town

I have eaten here two times while in town for business over the past couple of months and the owner and staff are very friendly and personable. The food is delicious as is the strawberry margaritas! If I'm back this way again, I'm sure I'll be stopping in for at least one meal.
